I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Karen's passing. I worked with her for several years and loved every bit of it. Karen was such a joy to work with. She was like a ray of sunshine. I will miss her smile and her laugh. She brought such joy and happiness to work. She will be very dearly missed. Rest in peace Karen! You earned your wings.

I worked with Karen at the library for a few years. She was a part of our "library family" and will be missed. Karen was always smiling and never had a bad word to say about anyone. My condolence to her family.

Bobby Tompkins left a message on December 2, 2019:
I always knew when I was entering a room Karen was in. Whether I was at Kevin and Mary’s home, a holiday gathering, or a family celebration- I always knew Karen was in the room by her cheerful personality and contagious smile. Her kind nature always made me feel beyond comfortable in her presence, from the time of our first conversation to the time of our last. She lifted my spirits before a single word was even spoken. I can’t say I know any other person who has this effect on others quite like she did. They say you don’t remember others by what they did here on earth, but by how they made you feel.. & Karen, she was the type of person whom if you had met, you’d then understand why this saying exists. I’ll miss seeing her around more than she’ll ever know. Keep smiling down on all of us Karen, there isn’t a doubt in my mind we’ll be able to feel that smile when you want us to. Rest In Peace. Never a goodbye, rather a see you later.

Your mom was a sweet, beautiful person, inside and out. I feel lucky to have known her. She was taken away from you much too soon. She loved being a grandmother to Colin and it's a blessing that she was in his life, even if for a short while. She will be alive forever in your heart and a lifetime of memories. She was so proud of you, Mary & Colin. May she rest in peace. Love you all.

?With a heavy heart, Blaise and I send our prayers and condolences to Karen’s family and friends. A sweet, caring cousin who enjoyed life and our 45th WTHS reunion in October on the dance floor with the many classmates who will remember her smiling and dancing the night away. May she RIP in the arms of our lord?
