My son, I know there are no words that can truly take away the pain you’re feeling right now. Losing your father is a loss that changes you, and I know your heart is hurting in ways that you may not even know how to express.
I want you to know that you don’t have to be strong every minute. It’s okay to cry, to be angry, to be confused, and to miss him. Whatever you’re feeling is okay. Give yourself permission to grieve in your own way and in your own time.
Your father will always be a part of you. The memories you shared, the lessons you learned, and the moments that made you laugh or smile will live on in your heart. Hold on to those memories and let them carry you through the difficult days.
