Judith A. Lynch
Lynch, Judith Anne (Curtis), 83, of Washington Township, NJ passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2024.
Judie was born in Chillicothe, MO to Robert (Bob) and Mary Curtis on December 12, 1940. Because her father was in the armed forces, their family moved frequently throughout the Midwest, living in places such as Benton, IL and Athens, OH. Making their way to the East Coast during Judie’s senior year, her family settled near Runnemede, NJ where she graduated from Triton High School. And it was in South Jersey that her path eventually crossed with Ben Lynch, whom she married, spending 62 years together. While she and Ben raised three children and built two homes in Washington Township, Judie also attended Camden County Community College, carved out a 30-year career as a receptionist at Taylor’s Salon, and was an avid traveler whether abroad, around the country, or just spending time by the water. This nonstop energy extended into her free time, which she filled with passions for interior design, fashion, writing and rescuing animals, especially her beloved dogs. Judie will remain known for all of this and more, including her beauty, impeccable taste, and amazing parties. But most of all she was a wonderful, dedicated mother, family member, and friend.
Judie is predeceased by her parents Bob and Mary, husband Bernard “Ben” Lynch, and her sister Sharon (Jack) Wood. She is survived by her children Julia Kelly (Terence), Robert Scott Lynch, Kirstin Lynch-Walsh (Shane) and her husband’s children Lois Lea Lore (Ed) and Bernard “Buzz” Lynch. She was also a dedicated grandmother to five grandchildren (Hayley, Brendan, Kevin, Lianda, and Fionn) and aunt to niece and nephew Mindy (Rob) and Mike. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful aides especially Tasha Mayhew and Tanya Snype for their support in her final days. Arrangements were made by Egizi Funeral Home.
A Memorial celebration will be held on July 13, 2024 at Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church, 330 Greentree Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Memorial at 10 am and worship services at 11 am. Flowers may be sent to Bunker Hill Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Humane Society.
