Joseph H. LaFountain
On August 24, 2025, of Pine Hill. Age 49. Beloved companion of Jane Jelesiewicz. Cherished son of Paul and the late Lillian (nee Beach). Dear brother of Paul LaFountain (Vicki) and Robert LaFountain (Dawn). Loved by nieces and nephews. Survived by his stepchildren, Jacob Jelesiewicz (Danielle), Harry Jelesiewicz, and Logan Jelesiewicz (Sara).
Joseph LaFountain was a son, brother, uncle, partner and friend, who left us far too soon. Joe had a joyful spirit and a generous heart.
Joe loved his family and found joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews. Whether it was a backyard game, a holiday gathering, or just goofing around, Uncle Joe was the life of the party and always made people laugh. He especially loved Christmas and Halloween, playing spooky music for the neighborhood during trick or treat and loved driving around to look at Christmas lights.
A gifted musician, Joe played the bass in countless bands over the years, bringing rhythm, soul, funk and energy to every performance. Music was more than a hobby; it was his passion and how he shared his heart with the world.
Joe was always up for an adventure. He loved mini-golf, road trips, crabbing, and cheering on his beloved Philadelphia sports teams. He had a traveler’s soul and a curious spirit, always eager to try something new, especially if it involved discovering a great restaurant. He never turned down a good meal or a well-earned nap afterward.
Those who knew Joe knew the size of his heart. He was the first to show up when someone needed help and he had a way of making people feel supported and loved.
Joe’s legacy is one of laughter, music, kindness, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered!
Family and friends are welcome to attend his visitation Saturday, September 13th 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp.
