Don't ask me why, but I thought of Joe this evening; occasionally I think of my husband's friends in television. My husband was Bob Jawer, and he was with Channel 3 for many years. I think Joe was one of his favorite people in the TV business. You couldn't help but like Joe - he was always in a happy mood and made you feel that way, too. I have a photo of him sitting next to me, and Bob on the other side of me, taken at the Art Museum for some special event. Bob laughed because it looked like Joe and I were the "couple." I am so sorry to learn of his passing, and maybe my remembrance of him will cheer you. I send you my very deepest condolences. Sincerely, Helene Jawer

Especially missing Joe, today - Saratoga Opening Day!!! I was all set to contact him today. We always talked on Opening Day and High Horse Racing days. Saying: It doesn't get any better than this!!!! RIP my dear friend. You are truly missed. Now who do I discuss the horses with?!

Joe and I worked together in the mid-nineties and he taught me so much about the Philly media market and the key players. A master of understatement, with a dry wit and a welcome quip. Joe made WCAU a great place to work.

Joe was the very best. I worked with Joe for 12 years and I learned so much from him. We owned a horse together called "Casual Physician". Everyone loved Joe. We had so much fun together and he really enjoyed life in every way. Laura and family please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless, Dave and Sue
