Joseph F. Masapollo
On July 10, 2024, of Sicklerville. Age 81. Beloved husband of Laura Masapollo. Devoted father of Maria Rumsey (Jim), Joseph J. Masapollo, and Meghan Masapollo (Kenneth). Loving grandfather of Matthew and Ryan. Dear brother of Sam Masapollo, Stephen Masapollo, and Victoria Sheffield.
Joe worked during the halcyon days of television advertising sales at various radio stations, along with the CBS and NBC TV networks. It was an exciting career that he truly loved, especially the friendships he made. He retired after 31 years and has enjoyed a 19-year retirement filled with family, horse racing, and traveling.
Joe was an avid horse racing fan. You could find him enthusiastically yelling at the televisions at the OTB and judiciously checking the tip sheets. He visited many racetracks from Delaware to California. His favorite track was Saratoga, NY which he traveled to every summer with his wife of 36 years, Laura.
Joe especially loved dining out with friends and family at fine restaurants where his gregarious personality shined. Joe demonstrated “perspicacity and perspicuity” along with an inspired world view of embracing the positive. When asked what he would change about his life, his answer was “NOT A THING!”.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday 9:15 – 10:45 am at St. Charles Borromeo, 176 Stagecoach Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am. Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Newfield.
In honor of Joseph’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, the family would encourage any donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
