Jordan Smith

Jordan Smith, of Clayton, New Jersey, passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 37. His life was defined by his devotion to his family and friends, his love of the outdoors, and his commitment to public service. He will be remembered as a devoted father, loving fiancé, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and a dedicated servant to his community.

Jordan was the proud father of Alexander Smith, and the beloved fiancé of Danielle N. Parker. He was the cherished son of Alice Smith (nee Merriel) and the late Edward H. Smith Jr., and is survived by his sisters, Crystal R. Smith and Anntinettie Smith, and his nephew Brian. His family will forever cherish the memories they made, his unwavering love, and the gift of his son Alex.

Jordan’s career was marked by service. He was an NJSP Explorer, which began his love for law enforcement. He started as a firefighter, answering the call to protect his community. He also served in EMS, providing care and support in emergencies. Later, he devoted his time to trucking, demonstrating skill and dedication to the field. Most recently, Jordan proudly served as a Senior Officer Specialist with the Federal Bureau of Prisons at FCI Fairton, in NJ.

Jordan lived life with full-throttle passion and adventure. He loved camping, walking through the woods, riding his motorcycle, hunting, and trucking. Most of all, he cherished creating adventures and memories with his family, friends who became family, and his new baby boy, finding joy in the simple pleasures of time together and the outdoors. His spirit of camaraderie and love for adventure and shenanigans will be fondly remembered by all who shared those experiences with him.

Above all, Jordan’s greatest joy was found in his family. His love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday, December 8, 2025, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.  Funeral Service 12:00 p.m. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park in Washington Township.

In honor of Jordan’s life, in lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations payable to Danielle Parker, to support Alexander Smith’s education fund, care of Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, New Jersey 08012. Contributions will help ensure Jordan’s legacy continues through his son’s future.
