John P. Morrow
On October 28, 2021 of Washington Twp. Age 77. Loving brother of Rosemary Davidson (James) and the late Alan W. and Brian J. Morrow. Dear uncle of James, Rebecca, Michael, and Heather. Loved by many great-nieces and nephews.
John was born July 23, 1944 in Philadelphia. He graduated from Cardinal Dougherty HS in 1963. After graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. And attended boot camp in Parris Island.
After his discharge, he became interested in karate and earned his black belt and went on to be an instructor. John continued to have an interest in the Marine Corps and became a historian for the Marine Corps League in Woodbury. His interest didn’t stop there; he became involved in the family ancestry and was able to find detailed information, including our family who fought in the Civil War and our uncle who was killed at Tinian in World War 2.
John enjoyed spending time going on long trips on his Harley and spending time painting, he was a very good artist. Later in life he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease but continued to attempt to enjoy painting. He will be missed terribly and always remembered.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 9:30-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM. Interment, Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to Veterans Helping Veterans, P.O. Box 337 Woodbury, NJ 08096.
