John Krug Sr.

John Krug Sr., 69, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 8, 1956, John lived a life defined by faith, devotion to family, and service to others. He was the beloved husband of Julia Krug, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment.
A man of deep and abiding faith, John loved God wholeheartedly and was a dedicated member of Laurel Wood Seventh-day Adventist Praise and Worship Center. He faithfully served his church and community, believing that faith was meant to be lived through action. Through community service, quiet acts of kindness, and his steady presence, John reflected Christ’s love in the way he cared for others.
He was the proud and loving father of Jaime Frontin (Michael Vaught), Annmarie Horn (Nicholas Horn), Amy Krug, and John Krug Jr. (Crystal Krug). His children were his greatest pride, and he poured his strength and love into their lives.
John was the loving son of the late Beatrice and Joseph Krug Sr. He is a dear brother of his loving sisters, Joanne Reddy (Michael Reddy), Therese Tunstall (Emory Tunstall), and his late brother Joseph Krug Jr., along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
John was a cherished grandfather to Leyla Horn, Silas Brown, Julius Lopez, Mikaylah Horn, Adrianna Horn, Reese Krug, Logan Krug, Scarlett Horn, and Adonis Vaught. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy and were a constant source of laughter and light in his life.
John will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his dedication to his family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy of love, service, and devotion to God will continue through all who were blessed to know him.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Sunday, March 1st 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the the Laurelwood SDA Church, 3051 Good Intent Road, Deptford. Memorial Service 3:00 – 4:00 PM. (Parking is limited due to the snow. Please consider giving condolences during the the celebration of life and reserving the service for close friends and family.)
