John G. Bellesorte, 86, of Sewell, New Jersey, formerly of Manayunk, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2026.
Born and raised in Manayunk, Pennsylvania, John later moved his family to Berlin, New Jersey, in 1988 to help care for his aging parents. He remained a proud South Jersey resident for nearly four decades.
John’s life took many turns over the years, but one thing remained constant: his faith in Jesus Christ. While John loved his family, his relationship with God was the foundation of his life and the lens through which he viewed the world. Those who knew him knew that he rarely missed an opportunity to talk about his faith. Whether speaking with family, friends, neighbors, or strangers, John was eager to share the message of Jesus and the hope he found in Him.
John found joy in spending time with Antonina, reading the Bible, crocheting blankets, playing the piano, and tending to their house plants and bird feeders. These simple pleasures brought him peace and reflected his appreciation for God’s creation.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Antonina Bellesorte (née Pascale); his children, Gabriel Bellesorte (Joanna), Rebekah Bellesorte and Yolanda Johnson (Rick); his sister, Annamarie DiGrazio; his brother, Joseph Bellesorte; and his two beloved grand-dogs, Brody and Phoebe. He also leaves behind extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Paolo Pascale, his parents, Joseph and Rose Bellesorte, and by his brother, Ralph Bellesorte.
John will be remembered for his unwavering belief in Jesus Christ, his willingness to share that faith with others, and the impact he had on those whose lives crossed his path. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that the faith he spoke of so often has now become sight.
John’s life will be honored and remembered privately by his family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Cedar Brook Bible Church.
