John Francis McLaughlin, Jr.
On April 10, 2021, of Washington Twp. Age 35. Devoted father of John F., III. Loving son of John and Sophie (nee Masse) McLaughlin, Sr. Dear brother of Mary Bennett (Frank), Liz McLaughlin (Iris) and Vincent McLaughlin. Dear uncle of Carley, Vincent, Dominique, Sophia, Mary, and Frankie. Dear grandson of the late Vincent and Elizabeth Masse. Also survived by his girlfriend Jessica.
Johnny had the most unbelievable heart. He would drop everything to help anyone. As a kid, he spent so much of his time with our grandparents, who loved him dearly. He would help our grandmom anytime she needed things fixed in her home.
Johnny was a pitcher in Little League and was a swimmer on the Whitman Square Sea Lions. He spent a lot of time at the pool as a kid.
He always loved cars and firetrucks. As a teenager, he was always working on cars. He loved his 1971 Chevy Nova and his IROC. He was always fixing things and had hands of gold. He did a beautiful job on the landscaping at Mom’s house, from the brick work to the pictures that hung on the wall.
Johnny is very sentimental. Our family was #1 to him. He was loyal to all. He always wanted to make the family proud. He was most proud of being a father to his son, lil Johnny. His son was the light of his life. He loved teaching his son how to landscape. They loved going to Monster Truck shows and Diggerland together.
The other light of his life was our parents, especially our mom who was his best friend. There was never a mother and son with such a loving, connected, and devoted relationship. They are the definition of unconditional love.
Johnny will never be forgotten and will always be loved.
