John will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, son, and hoppy (Grandpop). His number one priority was his family who he loved unconditionally. He especially enjoyed seeing his grandchildren play and took pride in watching them learn and experience new things. He was a generous, kind and gentle soul with a contagious smile. His kindness and open-mindedness toward others created many life long friendships. His friends will fondly remember his caring nature, quick wit and raunchy sense of humor. He was a man who always loved to learn new things and seek knowledge. This led him to have a diverse range of hobbies and passions. One of his top passions was his job as a Critical Care Pharmacist at Atlanticare hospital for 24 years. He had a brilliant mind that enabled him to provide support to his patients and the nurses who cared for them. John was an avid sports lover and a Philly sports fanatic. He specifically loved playing hockey and football. He spent many years playing for Tansboro Deck Hockey which gave him great joy. He is still remembered by many as one of the best wide receivers from Hammonton High School. John was strong willed and stubborn which helped him fight his courageous battle for over 10 years. John loved to travel and create new memories with his soulmate, best friend, and wife Katie. The two were inseparable from the beginning and remained that way. They had many adventures together trying new things and seeing the world. It is evident that John has touched many lives throughout his lifetime. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the love and support that has been offered over his lengthy battle. John was one of a kind and will forever leave a gap in the hearts of all those who loved him.
