John D. DeMarco
On November 4, 2024, of Washington Twp. Age 58. Beloved son of Marlene (nee Costa) and the late John DeMarco. Loving nephew of Anna Colongo, Elizabeth Carfagno, Donna Costa, Anthony DeMarco, Harry DeMarco, Anna Verrechio and the late Linda Ricciardi and Mary Costa. Loved by countless cousins throughout Philadelphia and NJ.
John “Brown” was truly a special soul!
A devout Catholic who was deeply loved by so many of his family members and friends! He had countless cousins and extended family that adored him.
He loved his Wildwood vacations, bingo nights, playing cards, and his all time favorite hobby of playing the lottery.
He had a gift for remembering the birthdates, wedding anniversaries, addresses of family members, and phone numbers who have been gone since the 80s. If you needed any date John had it.
More recently, he was a beloved employee of the Cardinal Village Nursing facility where he forged friendships with his coworkers and residents. After work shifts and days off, he would visit the residents and play bingo with them to keep them company. They couldn’t wait for John to go into work so their “buddy” would sit with them for hours!
He was always more than willing to help a hand, tell a story, or just have a conversation with whoever was in the room with him.
His love for his family was contagious and the memories he’s left his family will forever be treasured.
The love, adoration, devotion, and commitment to his mother Marlene was like no other. He would do absolutely anything for her and took the best care of her!
John will be sorely missed by all that loved him but we can find peace in that his most favorite person of all, Grandmom- Merchel will be waiting for him with open arms.
Rest easy John!
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 8:30-10:30 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road Washington Twp. Funeral service 10:30 AM. Interment, Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.
