On September 26, 2017, of Washington Twp. Age 83. Beloved wife of Dominic P. Devoted mother of Cheryle Pasqualone (Gregory), Dawne Piotrowicz (Gerard) and Danielle Meosky (Peter). Loving grandmother of Dana, Jaimie, Alexandra, Matthew, Mikayla, Sebastian and Bryce. Dear sister of Teresa Procacci and Ronald Pillo.
Joan M. Balsama was born on July 9th, 1934 in Brockton, Pennsylvania. She grew up with two hardworking parents and four, beautiful siblings that showed her how to live a blissfully fulfilling life that was centered on family, church and friends. She was married to a devoted husband who continues to cherish the life they built together raising their three daughters and watching their seven grandchildren grow into successful adults and young men.
She instilled in her family her tireless work effort; she worked in several positions as an administrative assistant in healthcare, and insurance industries, but she was most comfortable and fulfilled when she was with her family celebrating special occasions and holidays.
Joan was a strong women who believed that strength came from God and that all ills and injustices in the world could be solved with prayer and reciting the rosary. In her final days, just as she began the best parts of her life with God, she was surrounded by those that will miss her the most, her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday 8:15 – 10:15 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
