Joan C. Sklencar

Joan C. Sklencar (nee Morgan) on April 16, 2023, of Washington Twp. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late John. Devoted mother of Grace Marie Perry (Joe), John Sklencar, Michael Sklencar (Patricia). Loving grandmother of Joe (Miranda), Allison, Chris, Johnny (Adrianna), Jeffrey, Jason, Britni (Kyle), Michael, Sean, and the late Jimmy. Dear sister of the late Mary and the late Jack.

Joan worked for Pathmark for 38 years and in that time worked in the dairy and deli departments; eventually becoming deli manager in stores throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey. She was a parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she belonged to the senior citizens group.  She also was a member of the Washington Twp. Senior Center, where she participated in line dancing, bingo and attended all the holiday parties thrown by Washington Twp. Police Dept.

Joan was invited to her friend’s clubhouse to play shuffleboard, dominoes, mahjong and to join in other activities as well. She loved shopping at Boscov’s, going to lunch and going to the casinos with Grace. She also loved to travel. She enjoyed going to Mass with Mike and Patty and breakfast afterwards. She loved her grandkids and enjoyed going to all their sporting events and school functions. She loved going to her children’s homes for all the parties and cookouts and Bingo and dominoes on the deck.  She was also a member of the Red Hats. Joan was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

Joan was laid to rest at Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery with her husband, John.
