(nee Malandro) On November 16, 2021 of Washington Twp. Age 78. Beloved wife of Harry. Devoted mother of Gary Sklar (Kellie) and the late Eric. Loving grandmother of Aiden. Cherished niece of dear Aunt Margie and the late Uncle Salvatore DeSimone, Jr.

Jessica was born and raised in South Philadelphia. She graduated from St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School, class of 1961. She met the love of her life Harry (Geshel) Sklar in 1964, and they were married in 1965. They had a 56 year love affair, they were inseparable. Harry and Jessica moved from Philly to Washington Twp in 1969. They lived in the Nob Hill section where they raised their two sons, the late Eric Sklar and Gary Sklar. Harry and Jessica owned and operated a small business called Discount Beauty World in Blackwood from 1980 – 1993. They retired and stayed in Washington Twp.

Jessica enjoyed aerobics, cooking and spending time with her family and friends, she was the life of the party. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her only Grandson Aiden. He was the absolute apple of her eye, she adored him, and he loved his Grandmom.

Jessica’s life will be honored and remembered privately by her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jessica’s memory may be made to Cradle of Liberty Antique Fire Apparatus Association, 7 Repaupo Station Rd., Logan Twp., NJ 08085.

I was so sorry to hear of Jessica’s passing. I met Jessica at grief support when I lost my husband. She was such a friendly person always a joy to talk to and so helpful to everyone. She will be sadly missed but is with her son now and I’m sure that brought her much joy. RIP Jessica fly high with the angels..

My mother was a lovely generous woman. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law and wife. I will miss her hilarious personality and positive attitude. My mother taught me and my brother how to be gentleman, treat people with respect. Thank you Mom for being who you were, I'll see you on the other side, someday we'll all be together.

There wasn't anything left unsaid. You know that we loved you and we know you loved us. Especially Aiden, we know he was the light in your life and your greatest love! I can still hear the ringing in my ear from you screaming when I asked you if you were ready to be a grandmom on the phone ten years ago! Aiden more than loved you, he adored you. We go back a long time, you weren't just my mother -in-law, you weren't just family, you were my friend. You will be missed dearly. Rest in peace Jess, but have fun up there!

Gary, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. I have so many great memories of us spending time together as kids, swimming in the pool and being at all the birthday parties together. Praying for peace, comfort and strength for you, Kelli and Aiden.
