James R. Costello

James R. Costello, 80, of Blackwood, New Jersey, passed on January 4, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in November 1943 to Peter and Lillian.  As a child, Jim liked to play sports and ride bikes with his friends – particularly his best friend of 67 years, Don.

As an adult, Jim loved spending time with his family and doing home improvement projects.  Jim especially loved teaching his grandchildren to swim and playing with them in the pool.

Jim was preceded in death by his older sister Mary, his brothers Peter and Richard and his younger sister Lillian. Jim is is survived by his loving wife Theresa, his children Mary (Paul), Patty (Joe), Jim and Carolyn, and his grandchildren, Nick, Ashley, Deanna, Ryan, Jake, Matt, Tim, Anna, Johnny, Kiersten, Gianna and Sharon.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Tuesday January 23, 1:30-2:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.  At 2:30 PM there will be a time of sharing thoughts, memories, prayers, and love offered by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ memory may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
