On September 24, 2009, of Washington Twp. Age 88. Beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Devoted mother of Jean Buck, Donna Ferris Frank, Brian Murphy Elsa and Michael Murphy Terri. Loving grandmother of Craig, Todd, Susan, Matthew, Sarah, Erika, J.T., Katrina, Kimberley and Kelly. Proud great-grandmother of Kevin, Ryan, Katey, Nathan, A.J., Gary, Gage, Cole and Logan. Dear step-sister of Claire Granger.

Irene was a dedicated wife to her husband, Tom. She was a caring mother and Nana to her family. Her joy, laughter and love of life extended beyond her family to all of her friends. Always giving and gracious, she put others and their needs in front of herself. She was completely selfless and could be counted upon for help. Her devotion to family and friends and her joy of life will be missed by all.

As a devout Catholic, she regularly attended Mass and would pray the rosary daily. Thursday, she was reunited with the love her life, Tom, in heaven.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday 9:00 – 10:30am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am at SS Peter and Paul RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment private at the convenience of the family.
