Ines Maldonado was born on April 20, 1939, in Villalba, Puerto Rico. In 1954, she eloped with the love of her life, Miguel Maldonado, and in 1957, they moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where they began their life together.
Ines was a devoted mother, a loving homemaker, and the heart of her family. She was the proud mother of three daughters and one son, a grandmother to nine grandchildren, and a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family, cooking authentic Puerto Rican meals, and passing down the recipes, traditions, and love that will continue through generations.
Known for her humor, playful spirit, and beautiful blue eyes, Ines knew how to enjoy life. She loved dressing up, keeping her nails done, shopping, dancing, listening to music, playing scratch-offs, visiting the casino, watching her novelas, and cheering on her beloved Phillies. She brought laughter and warmth wherever she went and made lasting memories with those fortunate enough to know her.
Though she will be deeply missed, Ines’s love will forever live on in the hearts of her family. Through the traditions she shared, the meals made from her recipes, and the countless memories she leaves behind, her beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.
Her love was her legacy, her laughter was her gift, and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.
