Howie, I will miss you very much and our many times together just talking and remembering the fond memories of the good times we had in our life together. The many vacations we took and the milestones of each of the children. Your children gave you a good send off today, they laughed, cried and talked a lot. It was a great experience for them and you would have been very proud - they took loads of pictures and planned evereything from what you wore, the mass, the songs, what to eat and where to go. They took great care with every detail, you would have been so proud. K know you are at peace. Love, Loretta

The Internet is a great vehicle for locating the people from your past. Routinely, I take the time to search for those I've met and have lost contact with. Howard Miller was one such person. To find an obit instead of a living soul at the other end is such a shock. Howard always made me laugh; he had a knack for finding humor in almost anything... My condolences to the Miller family, I know your loss is great. If you would like to contact me, search facebook for Carolyn Ward. I will post early pictures of Howard there.

To Kim and the Miller Family, I am so sorry to hear of the untimely passing of your dad. He was always a pleasure to be around. Because of him Kim we have so many wonderful memories from college. He loved taking those pictures of us and sending us copies to keep! He will always be in my heart as well as your family.

Howard was a great listener, sometimes silly but a genuinely good guy. My condolences to his family and friends.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To the Miller Family. I use to work with Howard in 31 shop & the propeller shop in the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. I've known Howard for a number of years, but we lost track over the years. I drove him home a couple of times when he lived in the Logan section and I would see him when we both picked up our kids from Salem Zion nursery school. That was many years ago.Iam saddened to hear of his passing, my prayers are with him and his family, may he rest in peace. Dear Loretta and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Howard was such a great guy. He certainly was unique. There really was no one else like him. He was sensitive, generous, caring, and kind. He was an unbelievably hard and dedicated worker and at the same time he was one of the most rascally and funniest people I have ever met. He was always up for a good joke. He couldnâ??t wait to see my reaction when he would wear one of his off-color t-shirts into the photo lab usually a gift from either one his children or his grandchildren. Howard would wait patiently while I tore strips of masking tape off a roll and then used the pieces to â??censorâ? the offensive and funny double meaning on the front of his shirts. The photo lab will never be the same without him. He was a wonderful person and the students loved him. We all did. He had such a soft spot in his heart for everyone and especially for his Loretta and family. He bent over backward for the students in the photo lab. He remembered birthdays and special events and worried if something was wrong. He listened to and comforted others when they needed it. He made friends easily. He will be so missed. I lost a good and cherished friend and my darkroom buddy. Your family has lost a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. I am so sorry for the loss, but I am so very glad I got to know him.

Dad, although you are not here physically you will always be missed. You blessed our lives everyday with your quirky sense of humor and candid photos. As Ryan grows he will always here stories of his Pop-Pop that took his "little buddy" to Bok Bok and Wendys and watched Sprout TV. I never said it enough...I love you....we love you.
