Helena M. Bakis

February 20, 1944 - September 4, 2022

Helena Bakis, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Inspira Health in Mullica Hill after complications following a long battle with cancer.

She was born on February 20, 1944 in Poland. She was a longtime friend to many in Washington Township; known for anything from her limo driving service to hairstyling and of course her renowned cooking.

While her heart was weak in the end, Helena was a strong woman and her family and friends would like her to be remembered as such; stubborn, but well-meaning. It was hard to have a forgettable conversation with Helen.

Helena is survived by her daughters, Donna and Brenda (Brad), her grandchildren, Britton and Branden Rozzelle, her countless family and friends, including Carlene, Christine, and Erin, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Helena’s life will be honored and remembered privately by her family.
