I remember playing tag and eating cake with you and your brothers all the time at Aunt Carolyn and Katie's house. Acting like goofballs was our thing, and we were great at it. A lot of memories that I have as a child include you, and even though we weren't blood related, you were a part of our family. You were a really good friend to me throughout high school, you helped me get through ninth grade which was a really tough year. Everytime I saw you you had a smile on your face, and you brought happiness to everyone around you. You will be missed, Rest in Peace. Love Grayce

Dear John, Claire, and Boys, Being former neighbors in Plumtree Estates, we remember you all well. We can't tell you how much we hurt for your loss as none of us ever contemplates losing our children before we depart this earth. We can only pray for the gracious and comforting arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be wrapped around you all as you grieve. But the beauty in this grieving, if you can look for that, is that Heather is with the Lord and has received the "Victory" of His promise. Heather I can't believe you're gone. We met in 8th grade and over the years have had unforgettable memories. Where to begin, I honestly am having a horrible time processing this. I saw you about a month ago. I remember having all of us friends making a pact to always stick by each other in 7th Grade. We called our little group ''psychoes'' or something like that. It's not fair or right at all that you had to be taken away. You always told it like it is and never took any crap from anyone. There are absolutely no words that can describe the immense shock and grief that is upon us at this time. Heather was there for my family and I when we lost my beloved sister two years ago. Heather stood by our side relentlessly. She was an amazing friend, and to me, she may as well have been my sister. Losing her is like losing Ashley all over again. I can't express how sorry I am to her family. All I can comfort them with is to let them know that, although the pain does not ever go completely away, it does become livable. Please remember you have your friends here always. Heather was a beacon of light in a long dark tunnel and she showed my family and I what a true friend is really like. I will miss her until the day of my demise and not one day will go by where I will not think of her and Ashley, partying it up in heaven for eternity. Again, my deepest condolences to her family. If any of you need anything whatsoever, please dont hesitate to let us know. Heather, we know you're up there now, and we're all waiting for you to come and haunt us, just like you said you would! John, Clair, Boomer, Mike and Matt: For someone that has never been at a loss for words - I find myself lost now. You have all been great friends to us and I hope that your memories of Heather will comfort you. She was a very special girl that I simply adored. I remember fondly Heather playing with our cats. She had such a love of animals and a gigantic heart. I am certain that Heather is giving heaven a run for their money - just as I would expect her to! And that thought makes me smile. Moderski Family, I was one of Heather's teachers at WHS. Her loss is shocking and insurmountably sad. I only hope that the fond memories and warm thoughts of Heather's loved ones can help to ease your pain. I will always remember Heather for her generosity of heart and spirit.

Dear Moderski Family, I was Heather's sophomore English teacher. We shared a common love of animals, and I also remember her as a friendly young lady with a great sense of humor. I can't believe she is gone so suddenly and tragically. I am sorry for your loss.

John and Claire: We were shocked to hear this sad news. My wife saw Heather a few times recentely she had told me. I think working at one place or another. Matt Mansi called me the other night and broke the bad news. I cannot tell you how sorry we are. I can't believe that it's already been 3 whole years since I've seen her smiling face. I wish with all of my heart and soul that Heather and Ashley were still with us. I wish so much that I could turn back the hands of time and make this life simple and painless again but I can't. All we all can do is proceed further in this life that has been given to us, without them. They were meant for a higher purpose than we can comprehend. That's what we're left with...that, and the memories in our hearts. Our sincere and deeply felt condolences go out to the Moderski family. All we can say is that they're now together, watching over us and that God needed them as angels to protect us. Its little comfort, if any, I know. But they have to have been meant for a greater purpose than we can understand. We love you all and miss Heather every single day.
