BOYER
Guy S. “Steve”
Of Glassboro, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2009, at home with his daughters and three grandchildren by his side. He was 86. Steve was born and raised in Collingswood, NJ, and lived in Glassboro for the last 37 years. He was a sergeant in the Marine Corps from 1941 to 1945. He was a Real Estate Appraiser and Broker who ran his own business in Turnersville, NJ, up until the day he became ill 10 months ago.
Steve was a self-made man who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He was a kind and gentle man with a loving, sweet spirit and a pure and generous heart. A wonderful story teller with an endearing sense of humor, who stories will always be cherished by his children and grandchildren.
Left behind to mourn him is his loving companion and wife of 40 years, JoAnn Frank Boyer, his children Guy S. Boyer, III, and Charles Boyer Doreen of Audubon, NJ, JoAnn A. Travis and Mary Ann Adler Frank of Washington Twp, NJ, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He will be especially missed by his grandchildren Angela, Stephanie and Joey McIlvaine, who loved their Pop Pop Boyer and spent many hours with him, playing games and listening to his stories.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Mary Ann Adler and granddaughter Angela McIlvaine Jake, who unselfishly spent many hours helping Mom Mom care for Pop Pop as his illness worsened. Life will never be the same without this loving and funny man, but we can take solace in the assurance that he is now at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
You put up a courageous fight, sweet man, but now it is your time to rest.
Services will be private under the direction of the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, Washington Twp.
