Gregory Charles Rossi

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory Charles Rossi, who died on July 16, 2026, in Edmonton, Kentucky at the age of 67. Born on September 11, 1958, Greg lived a life defined by family, faith, friendship, craftsmanship, and a deep love of nature.

Greg was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia and attended St. Mary Magdalene School in South Philadelphia. In his early teens, he moved with his family to Turnersville, New Jersey, where he attended Washington Township High School. Greg made friends easily and maintained many lifelong relationships. Charismatic and quick-witted, he possessed a wonderful sense of humor that naturally drew people into his orbit. His left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Greg eventually settled in Franklinville, New Jersey, where he raised his children and built a life centered around family.

After graduating from high school, Greg began working alongside his father and brother Victor at the family business, Rossi Brothers Cabinet Makers. There, he became an expert furniture finisher and antique restorationist. His exceptional craftsmanship, eye for detail, and appreciation for history earned him the admiration of colleagues, clients, and fellow collectors alike.

Greg’s passion for antiques extended far beyond his profession. Throughout his life, he cultivated an extensive and cherished personal collection, taking great pride in preserving beautiful pieces and the stories they carried. He was also a lifelong lover of the outdoors. He had a fascination with nature and wildlife, loved studying animals, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and found great joy in long scenic rides on his motorcycle.

A man of deep faith, Greg’s belief in God was a cornerstone of his life. He was actively involved in his church and treasured the friendships, fellowship, and sense of community he found there. His faith guided him throughout his life and provided him with strength, purpose, and peace.

Though Greg enjoyed many passions and accomplishments, nothing mattered more to him than his family. His children were the center of his world, and he loved them with all of his heart. Becoming “Nonno” to his grandchildren was, without question, his greatest joy and proudest achievement. He treasured every moment spent with them and took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments. His grandchildren will forever carry with them the unconditional love, encouragement, and devotion he gave so freely. They will never know a stronger love or greater source of pride than that which they received from their beloved Nonno.

Gregory loved the idea of living off the land and maintaining a close connection to the natural world. On his property, he raised chickens, ducks, and wild turkeys and spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors. Yet he always dreamed of something more. Upon retirement, he realized that dream by moving to Kentucky, where he made his home on one hundred beautiful acres of land, surrounded by the peace and beauty he had always sought with his loyal dog, Maggie. Greg built a beautiful home where he could spend his days enjoying the things he loved most and welcoming family and friends toshare in his happiness. There, he found contentment fishing in his creek, tending to his property, observing wildlife, and reflecting on a life well lived.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Carmella Rossi, and his beloved older brother, Jerome Rossi Jr.

He is survived by his loving brother, Victor Rossi (Kathy); his beloved children, Victor Rossi (Kate), Nicole Meredith (Jordan), and Kristin Stauder (Matt); and his cherished grandchildren, Madelyn, Aubrey, Isabella, Emelia, Kennedy, and Carter.  Also, survived by Bridgette Rissling, who was like a daughter to him.

He will also be deeply missed by his sister-in-law, Patty Rossi Francano (Steve); his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jerome, and Nicholas; their children; and the many relatives, friends, church members, and neighbors whose lives he touched throughout the years.

Gregory’s life was a testament to hard work, faith, perseverance, and love. He was a gifted craftsman, a loyal friend, a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a man who never stopped pursuing his dreams. He worked hard, lived well, loved deeply, and ultimately built the life he had always imagined.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

May he rest in God’s eternal peace.
