Glenda A. Lykins
(nee Scott) On May 26, 2026, of Mullica Hill. Age 86. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Devoted mother of Lesa Grant (Mark) and the late Chantel Weigand. Loving grandmother of Aislinn. Cherished sister-in-law of Kim Bernier and Linda Young.
Glenda Lykins lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and deep concern for the people around her. Growing up during the final years of the Great Depression and World War II shaped her into someone who treasured simple joys, meaningful relationships, and time spent with family. Though life brought its share of hardships and heartbreak, Glenda met them with strength, warmth, and an enduring sense of humor. She never met a stranger and was known for striking up conversations wherever she went, often introducing herself with a smile as Glenda the “good” witch.
As a mother, she cherished the company of her two daughters and happily became “Mom” to many of their friends as well. Whether fishing, hiking, biking, camping, boating, or riding motorcycles, Glenda embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity, even riding roller coasters well into her 60s. She faithfully walked alongside Chantel through her difficult battle with cancer and shared a special bond with Lesa as the two navigated life together, especially during the years when Glenda was a single mother. Later in life, she met the love of her life, Jack, and some of her happiest moments were spent with him on warm summer evenings out on the boat, listening to their favorite music.
After Jack’s passing, Glenda began what would become her final chapter in New Jersey, where she treasured time with Lesa and her granddaughter, Aislinn. She was blessed with many close friendships through her church widows’ group and continued to grow in her faith.
Above all else, Glenda was a devoted friend, loving mother, and proud grandmother who deeply loved life and the people in it.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her visitation Monday, June 8th 1:30 – 2:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Glenda’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
