Geraldine A. Cameron, (nee Geraldine Verna Allison), passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 27, 2021. Age 99. Gerry, as she preferred to be called, was born in Baltimore, MD to Verna and Raymond Allison, later moving to the Philadelphia area where she grew up. She spent her career as an administrative secretary during which time she met her husband Paul Cameron, together raising two children, Dawn and Paul.
Gerry passionately enjoyed her hobbies of gardening, painting and traveling. She loved to tell stories of all of her travels and share pictures of her adventures with friends. Her paintings hang throughout her home and will continue to live on in the homes of her children and grandchildren. Gerry loved to spend hours in her garden, carefully tending to every part of it and finding great joy in her flowers and birdfeeders. She truly had a green thumb and brought her garden to life each year. She was a sweet natured, strong and independent woman with a sassy sense of humor, who was loved by all who met her and who will be missed deeply.
Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cameron, and her brother, Merle Allison. She is survived by her son, Paul, her daughter, Dawn and her five grandchildren, Jamie, Christopher, Brian, Mikayla and Brandon, as well as her niece and nephew and their families. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
