Fulton J. Sampona

On December 19, 2023 of Washington Twp. Age 73. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Pusatere). Devoted father of Carmen Sampona (Cassy). Loving grandfather of Carmen. Dear brother of Angelo Sampona (JoAnn), John Sampona (Joan), Sarah McDonough, and the late Carmen Sampona (Marianne). Loved by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Fulton Sampona was a loving and devoted husband, father ,and grandfather. He was a Vietnam veteran who served with the 101st Airborne Division. After 25 years of service with the Camden County Sheriffs he retired with the special investigations unit. He mastered any sport he played and was a die hard Eagles and Phillies fan. He really loved entertaining his family and friends at home. I can go on forever on how much he loved his family and friends. We thank God for the time and memories we had with him. He will be greatly missed and live in our hearts FOREVER.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday, December 28^th 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:45 PM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Washington Twp.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fulton’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tunnels to Towers, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

It was a total shock to hear about "Hooks" passing. We worked together a long long time ago (So it seems). He was one of the good guys and surely will be missed. Not to long ago he reached out to me to tell me about one of our lock ups and what he did recently and we had a good few laughs about the idiot. He some how wedged himself under a water bed, trying to avoid us, it didn't work. Hook always talked about his son "Rude dog and what was going on with him. My condolences to Fultan Sampona's family.God bless you.

Fulton could do it all. He was the neighborhood handyman. Decks,porches,finished basements etc. He was a great athlete in his day, and could play horseshoes with the best of them. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be sorely missed.

My sincere condolences to the family. Hook was a great guy and will be greatly missed.

Many memories with my good friend Hook. We got together Christmas Eve at his and Linda’house. We partied with some good friends from Camden. We served together in the Sheriff’s Department S. I. U. Div. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. One great guy will be missing from the party. Prayers for the Family. 🙏

I worked with Hook in SIU as a partner and investigators in the same unit. I hope using his nickname doesn't offend anybody. We had blast working both together and just backing each other up. We once had pry a guy out from under a waterbed, we couldn't figure out how he got in there. Another time we were responding to backup another unit and we saw the guy rounding a corner coming right at us, I was in the perfect position to "close line him but every time I tried to get out of the car it would lock again. Thank God because the guy was clean and we would've been in serious trouble had did what I had in mind. That's just two times that I recall. God bless him and family, he was a great guy.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Gone but never forgotten in our hearts. He was one of the best friend I ever had. He was a man of true integrity. I will miss you my brother will see you again some day. May God bless. Rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the entire Sampona Family and all of the so many friends that lost the best one. There’s no words that would do justice to the kind of man and character of Fulton. The way that this amazing man affected so many of our lives with his love and kindness compares to no other. My fondest childhood memories are of you and Linda and our best friends home! Fulton you will be missed, love ya big Fult! Thank you for helping me be a man and teaching me so many things, even when I drove you absolutely crazy!
