Frank P. Grazian, on December 25, 2013, of Washington Twp. Age 83. Beloved husband of the late Joyce D. (nee Moore). Devoted father of Kim A. Labinski. Loving grandfather of Rachael.
Frank Grazian was a Professor Emeritus of Communications at Rowan University, where he co-founded the journalism major and chaired it for 10 years. He was also co-founder and former executive editor of Communication Briefings, an international business-management newsletter with subscribers in 32 countries. He has served as News Editor of the Asbury Park Press, Public Relations Director of the N.J. Department of Education, and was a freelance correspondent for the New York Times.
After retiring from Rowan, he created Alternative Health News Online, a major internet health site that won numerous awards for its coverage of alternative and complementary medical topics. He was sole editor and publisher. He considered it a labor of love informing people and helping them through alternative medicine. He researched, wrote and financed the site himself. He was honored to be accepted as a member of the American Medical Writers Association and was considered a medical journalist. At the same time, Grazian also became a partner in Casino Careers Online, a website which publicized the career opportunities of the employers in the Gaming-Hospitality & Technology industry.
Frank devoted his life to teaching his knowledge to his students at Rowan, improving the communications and managerial skills of professionals through his Communications Briefing publications, helping the public to find new medical solutions with Alternative Health News Online, and assisting the unemployed to connect with potential employers via Casino Careers.
He was a wonderful father, husband and friend. He was a gift to those with whom he shared his knowledge, wit and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, January 2nd, 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Friday, January 3rd, 9:00 – 10:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 10:00 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in Frank’s Memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
