Francis T. Donahue, of Washington Twp., at the age 85, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosanne, and his cherished grandson, Ryan. Francis is survived by his loving children: Gerard Donahue, who was predeceased by his wife Helen; Thomas Donahue and his wife Suzanne; and Timothy Donahue and his wife Susan. He was a proud grandfather to Katelynn, Brandon, Anna, Deanna, and Thomas, and a doting great-grandfather to Jaxton and Declan. Francis also leaves behind his dear brother, Charles Donahue.

Francis proudly served as Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he exemplified the values of duty, honor, and service. His commitment to his country was matched only by his devotion to his family and faith. Francis left the Air Force to accept a position as a Government Inspector and continued his education at Temple University. He was in the Air Force Reserves until his eventual retirement from the government and was strongly involved in VFW #6332 and the Knights of Columbus for many years. Francis was known to have given the Heimlich maneuver on multiple occasions and once saved a child in a moving car. He enjoyed tracing his family history and sharing artifacts he collected from the many countries he visited in the service.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Egizi Funeral Home, located at 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Glassboro. Interment will take place at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown.
