During this time Ernie helped the family by ensuring we had food on the table. Ernie moved on and became the top meat cutter for Baltimore Food-A-Rama (Second largest food chain in MD in the 1980’s).
Ernie retired after a work related disability. Ernie enjoyed life – his interaction with his beloved brothers and sisters along with our large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A few years ago Ernie moved to New Jersey to stay with Dennis (Sam), Chris Green and our greyhounds. He loved the boy’s, he would sneak food from the table and give them treats all day long. Ernie was active he was a member of the Cherry Hill Men’s Club, the Cherry Hill Maturity Club where he played single deck Pinochle with friends he while in NJ thee days a week. Ernie was also a member of the Atco Sr. Center, where he enjoyed Casino bus trips and local dinners.
