Emilia was born in 1948 in Barceloneta, Camarines Sur, Philippines. She was known by Elit to her siblings, Emy to her friends, and mom/Lola to her kids and grandchildren. Growing up she was quiet and an introvert. She Attended Philippines Women’s University with a Bachelor’s in Medical Technician. In 1990 she moved to the United States with her 2 children and to be reunited with her husband. Not knowing the challenges she would face living in a new county she began 2 jobs working tirelessly to provide for her children and to help her family in the Philippines. She was selfless, compassionate and kind. With profound love she made it her mission to help those in need. Those generous acts gave her solace and joy. Her gentle soul and warm smile would light up a room and transcend to anyone she met. Emy enjoyed the simple pleasures like gardening, shopping at Costco and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loves spoiling and babysitting her grandchildren and was always bearing gifts. She was a wonderful and resilient mother who never expressed /showed her adversities. She never wanted to burden others but would carry everyone’s burden as her own. She was her daughter’s best friend. Their bond was strong and described her as an angel on earth with the biggest heart. She was truly one of a kind and was was brought to this earth as an example of grace and devotion.
