Major Elliott D. Hawkins, Jr.

On October 9, 2023 of Washington Twp.  Age 88.  Beloved husband of the late Elinor (nee Trizzino).  Devoted father of Elliott D. Hawkins, III (Christina) and Audrey Donnelly (Mark).

Loving grandfather of Taylor, Rebecca, Lauren, and Liam.  Dear brother of Robert Hawkins, Beverly Allred, and Michael Hawkins.

Bud was born and raised in Dallas, TX and joined the military in 1960.  He was a Major who served 20 years in the U.S. Army including 2 tours in Vietnam before retiring.  He settled in NJ with his family and then worked another 20 years for the Dept of Defense at Fort Monmouth.  Bud enjoyed many hobbies over the years including growing vegetables and herbs, working on his yard and home, hunting, fishing, tennis, working out and fitness, visiting the thrift stores and sitting in the sun drinking a beer in his back yard.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday 9:30-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.  Funeral service 11:00 AM. Interment, Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
