(nee Benetatos) On August 8, 2025, of Washington Twp. Age 81. Beloved wife of Nicholas. Devoted mother of Joseph Mattera (Kristin), and Stefanie Mattera. Loving grandmother of Nicholas and Jason. Dear sister of Jerry Benetatos.
Elizabeth, affectionately known as Liz, Mom, Noni and Aunt Liz to many nieces, nephews, and cousins, loved her family and friends. Liz was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Upper Darby and settled in Washington Twp to raise her family. She enjoyed summers in North Wildwood and traveling to Florida for vacations.
Large family holidays, cooking, and the beach were some of her favorites. Try as they might, her family could never match her prowess on the dance floor. Her beauty, love, and kindness will live on with us forever. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday 6:00-8:00 pm and Thursday 8:15-9:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am, Church of The Holy Family, Washington Twp. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.
