Elizabeth Joan Heyes (nee Williams),

On December 28, 2017, of Winslow Twp. Age 77. Beloved wife of Graham. Devoted mother of Joan E. Evans and Eric J. Heyes. Loving grandmother of Lindsey and Graham. Dear sister of Dorothy Day. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Philadelphia and moved to South Jersey, Joan was an immensely strong woman with a huge heart. She loved visiting her beach house in Sea Isle City, sprouting and raising many varieties of plants, and taking care of any animal she could convince her husband to let into the house. She raised many dogs, most recently her rescued pup from Puerto Rico, Sasha. But her time spent with her animals does not even begin to compare to the time and dedication she put into raising her family. She was truly happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, eating home-cooked meals and sharing her contagious laughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service Tuesday 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.
