Eleanor M. Calabrese
(nee Courtney) On September 29, 2017 of Blackwood. Age 85. Beloved wife of the late Mario A. Devoted mother of Anthony P., Cheryl A. DeBasio , Diane C. Agnes (Jay), Patricia C. Conroy (James), Linda A. Kane (Joseph) and John J. Calabrese (Marianna). Loving grandmother of Matthew, Christina, Cara, Lisa, Jacqueline, Jenna, Joseph, Gabriella and Mia. Proud great-grandmother of Adellynn, Matthew, Emilia and Mark. Dear sister of Jane Grabarski.

Eleanor was raised in Glendora, New Jersey and graduated from Haddonfield High School. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Board of Fire Commissioners for many years. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and hosting Sunday and holiday dinners. Gardening, cooking and time spent at the beach were some of her favorite things to do. Her door was open to many and she could always be counted on for her friendship and unwavering support. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Wednesday 8:30-10:00 AM at St. Rita’s RC Church 1166 South Broad St., Philadelphia, PA. Mass of Christian Burial 10:15 AM. Interment, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
