Elba Gonzalez 59, of Glassboro New Jersey passed away suddenly on April 26, 2025.
She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The eldest of 5 daughters born to Luis and Elba Rosario. She was a devoted mother to Marilyn and Manuel Gonzalez. Loving Nana to Justin, Anneliese, Makayla, Adalia and Malia Rose. A dear sister to Mary, Lucia, Marisol (Solito) & Marisol (Chipa). Known to many as “Titi Elba” and “Yaya”. Elba was loved by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
One thing about Elba, that everyone can attest to, is that she loved her grandbabies more than anything. She was often found in the kitchen making a home cooked meal with music playing in the background. Most would say, she was the “best chef” and always made you feel welcomed. She was known as the fun titi and always was the life of the party. She would drop everything she was doing just to lend a helping hand.
Elba was a cherished member of Aramark for over 42 years. She made an extraordinary impact — not just through her professional contributions, but through the warmth, generosity, and integrity that defined her presence among us. She exemplified the values we aspire to uphold and touched countless lives.
Elba was also an incredible pillar of her community. She devoted countless hours to improving the lives of people in her neighborhood and beyond. Often, she would be volunteering her time to help an organization or putting packages together to send out of the country.
Elba loved to travel and consider the beach her second home.
Elba was a beautiful person; her smile and laughter will forever be remembered by those who knew her.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her viewing Monday, May 5th 6:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday, May 6th 9:00- 10:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 500 Delsea Drive, Washington Twp.

I’m heartbroken over the sudden passing of Elba Gonzalez. I had the privilege of working with Elba for 11 years—and for 8 of those, she reported to me. But really, she looked out for all of us.
Elba had the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever known. She never missed a birthday or holiday, always showing up with gifts for my kids. She brought people together with her pancake and waffle mornings, always happy to help with anything, no matter how small. She was everyone’s mom at work—caring, generous, and full of love.
I will hold onto the recent memories of seeing “Titi Elba” during Take Your Child to Work Day, proudly showing her granddaughters around the office. You could feel how much they adored her, and how proud she was to share that part of her life with them.
Elba also gave so much of herself outside of work—always volunteering, putting together donations, and quietly supporting people in need. Her kindness and generosity stretched far beyond our walls, and that spirit will be missed across the Aramark family and beyond. Elba’s giant heart made a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know her.

I was fortunate enough to have worked with Elba at Aramark for about 7 years. She was, in a lot of ways, a mother to all of us, all of the time. One of my fond memories was how she took care of my daughter and others' children on Bring Your Child to Work Day. Ever since then, she always made a point to make sure I brought home a snack for "my girl," as she called her. She was also known for her occasional Mickey Mouse pancakes. When it came to work itself, she always worked hard and delivered.
I truly believe she lived her life selflessly and in service for everyone else. Elba was incredible!! Her entire Aramark family will miss her.

Losing Titi Elba feels unreal. It’s a heartbreak that’s hard to put into words. She was such a constant in all my childhood memories, always there, always smiling, always full of life.
