Eileen M. Oczkowski
(nee DeRobertis) On December 29, 2024, of Washington Twp. Age 73. Beloved wife of Stephen. Devoted mother of Wendy Torney (Ron), William Keith, and John Keith Jr. (Melissa). Loving grandmother of Nicolette, Shawnae, Thomas, Annemarie, Becca, Emily, Kate, and Skye. Dear sister of the late Jenny, Flossie, and Buddy. Survived by her two stepdaughters Shannon Heavey and Sara Oczkowski and their children Kayleen, Matthew, and Quinn
First and foremost, my mom loved her family. She saw how other families fight and grow apart but she always said how it made her happy that her family was close. We even went on many vacations together.
Secondly, she loved the church and helping people. She was very involved for many years with the Porchtown UMC as their secretary, choir member and she volunteered for every opportunity. She also joined the Voices of Light traveling choir. When she moved to Wash Twp she started going to Pitman UMC where she joined the Hooks and Needles club crocheting hats and blankets for people in need.
She also volunteered for a few years at Pitman Manor’s No One Dies Alone program along with other church activities held at Pitman Manor.
She worked for the USPS as a transitional carrier for a few years out of multiple offices including Merchantville and Collingswood. She worked for many years as an assistant editor at Courier Post.
She was raised in Audubon NJ and graduated class of 1969.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her visitation Tuesday, January 7th 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to Pitman United Methodist Church, 758 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071.
