On February 11, 2026, of Westville. Age 69. Beloved husband of Joyce J. (nee Edwards). Devoted father of Edward P. Monroe, IV (Deana), and Lisa A. Monroe. Dear brother of Harry Monroe, Kevin Monroe (Clara), Charles Monroe (Toya), and Alice M. Sanderlin.
Ed was the most amazing human being you would ever want to meet. He was known for his two favorite sayings the first one being “I could always use a bottle of water”. The second one being “Excuse me, I got a little gas” followed by him fast walking away and laughing.
The family requests when you approach them if you could please say “I could always use a bottle of water” as a way of sharing your condolences.
A mask will be provided, they are not mandatory but would be preferred.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 9:00 – 11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. There will be a time of sharing thoughts, memories, prayers and love offered by family and friends at 11:00 am.
