Earl James Hyatt, Sr., on July 15, 2013, of Blackwood passed away after many complications from surgery. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Anna Joan (nee Smith) his children Earl James “Jim”, Jr., Cheryl Ann Spiris (Nick) and David Hyatt (Janet) along with his grandchildren Nicholette, Marty, Sarah, Katie, EJ, Ethan and Jacob. He is predeceased by his grandson Kevin and his daughter-in-law Rachael.
Earl spent a lot of years coaching for Blackwood Little League and the Gloucester Twp. Midget Football Association. He was a past President for many years for both organizations.
Earl became an avid golfer and truly enjoyed being on the links with his buddies. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his friends at the Blenheim Athletic Association. Earl will be sorely missed by his family and friends and especially missed by his sidekick Shappa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 10 am – 12 noon at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Life Remembrance 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Earl’s memory may be made to Blackwood Kiwanis Little League, P.O. Box 525, Blackwood, NJ 08012; or Gloucester Township Midget Football Association, P.O. Box 93, Blackwood, NJ 08012; or the Scottish Terrier Club of Greater New York Rescue, 94 Frogtown Road, Rockaway, NJ 07866.
