Dorothy J. Pescatore
(nee Wroblewski) On January 23, 2026 of Washington Twp. Age 81. Beloved wife of the late Henry. Devoted mother of David (KarIn) and Christopher Pescatore. Loving grandmother of Amanda and Lauren. Dear sister of Lucille Smith (Dan). Cherished aunt of Dan Smith.
“Dot,” as she was known to all who knew her, loved experiencing all life had to offer. As a new mom, she embraced city life in South Philly. She enjoyed shopping at The Gallery and watching the Mummers on New Year’s Day. While living as a “city girl,” Dot loved spending time on the beach in Atlantic City. As her family grew, A.C. became Wildwood and the family moved to Jersey. There, she made great friends out of her neighbors and nourished her love of travel. She loved visiting Punta Cana and Puerto Vallarta with her husband and sister.
She became a grandmother and loved baking cookies with her grandchildren. She kept family traditions alive, hosting Christmas Eve celebrations and ringing a bell whenever a child opened a present. No one could serve up an Italian 7-fishes dinner like Dot.
Dot never lost her love for Philadelphia sports, even when her favorite teams were playing like “Ragamuffins.” She cheered for every Phillies win and groaned when the Eagles would “blow it.” She proudly displayed her Shane Victorino autographed baseball and loved talking about how her son, Christopher, got it for her.
Dorothy left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She could reconnect with a former coworker after years apart and chat as if they still saw each other every day. She always wore her emotions on her sleeve. She will be missed.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her visitation Thursday, January 29th 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
