Donny Mignone
On January 6, 2025 of Williamstown. Age 71. Beloved husband of JoAnn (nee Italiano). Devoted father of Michael Mignone (Tara), Kristen Mignone, Dominic Mignone (Jason), and Geoffrey Forman (Amanda). Loving grandfather of Luke, Isabella, Giulianna, Alexandria, Adeline, Oliver, Theodore, and Everett. Dear brother of Dolores Wise and Carmela DeStefanis (Frank). Loved by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife and mother of his children Dorothy (nee Watkins).
Born in South Philly and shortly moved to Southwest Philly where he was raised, met his wife Dottie, and raised his family Michael, Kristen, and Donnie. In 1998, he moved his family across the bridge to New Jersey where he would live in three New Jersey towns…Bellmawar, Voorhees, and eventually Williamstown. In 2004, Donny met JoAnn Italiano and her son Geoffrey and they would marry in September of 2011.
At a young age of 18, Donny decided to enter healthcare. He began his career as a Radiologic Technologist at Graduate Hospital. He would later become a CAT Scan Technologist manager and then moved onto an administrator role in Radiology. As a hospital employee, he met many people, treated an enormous number of patients, aided family and friends with jobs throughout Graduate Hospital, and earned the respect of his colleagues.
In the early 2000s, he would leave radiology and dab in the field of pharmacy. As a Pharmacological Technician at Pennsylvania Hospital, he would travel throughout the hospital as the Pyxis /Omnicell leader making sure medication was ready for patients while once again making a tremendous number of friends along the way. He retired from healthcare after 50 years.
During his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved everyone sitting at the dinner table eating lots of food. If he asked you once he would ask you a thousand times…Are you hungry? Do you want something to drink? Times in Wildwood Crest would become his favorite. Whoever his children and grandchildren brought around were always welcomed, taken care of and fed. The one thing that brought him the most joy was his eight grandchildren.
Don was a truly compassionate man who always took care of the elderly people around him as well as his family and grandchildren. He touched a lot of lives along the way and truly made a difference in this world. He was the ultimate caregiver. His jovial laugh and personality will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his visitation Saturday, January 18th 9:30 – 11:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donny’s memory may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
