Donna Marie Connolly

(nee Cellinesi) On January 5, 2021 of Washington Twp. Age 66. Beloved wife of John “Jack”. Devoted mother of Joseph (Laurielle) and Michael (Nicole). Loving grandmother of Michael, Jaxon, and Gia. Loving daughter of the late Gaetano and Elizabeth Cellinesi. Dear sister of Angela Gartland (Joseph), Joseph Cellinesi (Lenora), and the late Guy Cellinesi.

Donna was a resident of Washington Township for 33 years. She was a salon owner at Special F/X for 31 years. In those 31 years she made lasting friendships with clients who became family. Her other passion was cooking and serving everyone around her. Nobody left her house without a to go bag. Spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with them was Donna‘s top priority. While fighting breast cancer twice, Donna still managed to make her famous chicken cutlets, chicken fingers and meatballs. Donna fought like a warrior and never complained. You would never know if she was in pain. To look at Donna, she looked as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside. Her vibrant personality, unfiltered opinions and love of life will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday 7:00-9:00 PM and Thursday 8:15-9:15 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment, Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Prodigal House Foundation, P.O. Box 655 Sewell, NJ 08080

My dear first cousin, Donna was a vivacious, loving, kind, free spirited and outspoken lady! She loved her family with a passion. I will miss our long chats and texts but mostly her whit and camaraderie we shared these last few years. Fun times with Jack and Donna, Angela and Joe Elaine and Kevin at the shore house were truly a special experience! My memories of us as children with Donna, her sister, Angela, brothers Guy (deceased) and Joey and Aunt Pat and Uncle Guy (both deceased) will remain special and loving memories never forgotten. Until we all meet again I will honor those fond memories.

Donna was a great friend. All through grade school and junior high and high. I loved going to her house. Always the most amazing food and couldn't go there unless you were going to eat. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to the Connolly & Cellinesi families during this time of loss. I've known Donna (as a client) since 2015 and she always had a way of making me feel comfortable & welcome. Whenever we spoke, as much as she was struggling with her own battle, she was genuinely concerned about how me and my family were doing, especially when my wife was struggling with her own serious medical issue. Early in my insurance career Donna was gracious enough to let me come to her Shop and try to get business referrals from her staff & clients. I will be forever grateful to her for allowing me to have that early experience which helped jump start my career and I will never forget what a unique person she was and the connection we had. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family . Donna was a amazing women. I have never seen anyone be as positive as she was through her fight with cancer. It didn't stop her from being herself. I have so many great memories of her just sitting in her salon on Fridays and laughing about things we did and people we knew together. Prayers for her family and friends. I met her as a hairdresser and we became friends.She was a great person. It seemed we had the same schedule for going to shoprite and would talk for 1/2 hour when there. SHE LOVED HER FAMILY SO MUCH. I will miss her❤❤
