This is truly a heart breaking day for so many who loved Don. He was such a good person with a heart of gold, so generous, thoughtful and kind. Always there when you needed him for advice or just a friend to talk to. He was the smartest person I've known. Impossible to beat at Trivia. His knowledge in Real Estate is unbeatable and the whole Real State community looked up to his as their mentor. He fought hard to get thru 2013 to mark many special anniversaries in his life. He fought a long battle with courage and his strong will. We will miss him so much. My prayers for his family. Rest in peace. I'll miss you my bff. Barbara Fitzgibbon
Don was a true friend that came along side of me when I was desperate and alone.I am saddened by his passing but I am also blessed to have shared a part of my life with such a great example of Christian brotherhood.
It's been a privilege and a real pleasure to have known Don. He was a true professional in his career and set a fine example for many to follow. We'll surely miss the fun get-togethers but the memories will always be there! He has much to be proud of - a life of achievement and a loving family. As someone once said, "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die".

Don, Kristen and Family,
Our sympathy to your dad/father-in-law/grandfather. It says so much about his life that many people have posted here the memories he made and the impacts he had on them.

Mr. B, my second Dad, I always felt like I was walking into my own house when I went over to the Brogans. I too remember going over and flopping on the pit couch to some great slightly warm copies of movies that fell out of a van somewhere. I have introduced my children to some of them to, one of my great memories is during a Friday the 13th party just stopping for a second to watch the rhyming scene in The Princess Bride, and after the movie was over, rewinding and watching the beginning up to that scene, now my daughters quote the movie also. There was always a place at the table, a seat on the couch, and as we got older a beer from the fridge, I can still feel the love and friendship that the entire Brogan Clan gave me my entire life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Bill
Dear Mrs. Brogan and family:
So very sorry to hear this news and deeply sorry for your loss. Mr. Brogan was such a lovely and special man. I do not ever recall meeting him, just that I always knew him.
I remember during the early "Script Teasers" days of my childhood being so thrilled to see him perform beautifully in the role of Captain von Trapp.
As he was our "family realtor", when it was time to purchase my first home, Mr. Brogan was a comforting presence and took very good care of me.
And when our growing family needed a larger home, Mr. Brogan was there again, helping us find the perfect home with kindness and care. My young daughter still describes as "the house that Mr. Brogan and I picked out". He was wonderful and patient with her throughout. Since this home buying process began in September, the Santa beard was in progress and perfect by December when the children visited "Santa". So happy to have those photos with him and the kids!
Much love to all of you. Keeping all of you in our prayers.

My sincere condolences to the Brogan family on this very sad day. I first met "Mr Brogan" when he performed with the Script Teasers in the early 70's. I was a young boy at the time. The warmth and kindness that he showed to my family was endearing and genuine. Many years later, I came to know Don as an adult at CB Elite. He was a great mentor who was always willing to share his knowledge and experience. He was the consummate real estate professional and teacher. He never forgot to ask about my mother whenever we spoke and shared some very wise, helpful words when she passed away...another example of his care and concern for others.
Don will always live inside of all those who knew him. I consider myself lucky to have known him and will always remember him with fondness and respect.
With deepest sympathy,
John R Wuertz
My sincerest sympathies to the Brogan Clan at this sad time. Don was my manager at Weichert years ago when I was a new agent and again at CBElite. I learned so much about real estate and life from Don. He always had a smile on his face and a cheerful "how are you today." Don lived his life well and touched so many lives in such a positive way, he will be greatly missed. Let's not forget Don's " Friday the 13th"parties what a fun time they were! My friend I will miss your kind ways and smiling face you were a true gentlemen.

Dear Mary and family:
Joe and I wanted to express our condolences to you and your family in person, and we are glad that we did. While there wasn't enough time to say all we wanted, we had hoped that just being there to clasp hands or share a hug would convey to you all our deeper sense of feeling about Don. Don was, and forever will his memory be, beloved by many; those who came to meet you personally are a testament to that. Please know that they, as do we, hold you all in our hearts. Don's good works, while we may never know of the where's or when's, will be paid forward; he would be happy knowing that. May the love you all shared with Don keep you all together, warm and safe, until you meet again...
My deepest sympathy to the Brogan Family. May your family find comfort as I have in knowing our loving Heavenly Father promises "He will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and even death will be no more." (Revelation 21:3.4) What a beautiful promise!
We were so sorry to hear of Don's passing. We are keeping his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
RIP Mr. Brogan. My family worked with you years ago when buying a home in Washington Township.
Dear Mary and family, The wonderful memories of Don will last as long as we do. The beautiful tributes attest to the matter of man he was. Being a wee bit selfish I get to say he was my brother. Mary ever-faithful, caring wife it was a gift from God that the last face Don saw this side of heaven was yours Love Patsy.
RIP Mr. Brogan. My family worked with you years ago when we purchased a home in Washington Township.
Don: Appreciated you so much throughout my real estate career. You've helped so many in different ways. God rest your soul. Lois Buzby
I can't remember not knowing Mr Brogan, being the I have known his son since i was 3 years old and he became part of the Dunn family by befriending my brother Brian in Kindergarden... During my teenage years, Mr Brogan introduced us to Benny Hill and Monty Python. I always told him he looked like Benny Hill. He also introduced us to a whole host of B-movies, like the, "the attack of the killer tomatoes" and "dark star." These were very bad, yet wonderfully transformative movies that we watched over and over again. I remember being invited over to one of Don's (jr's) birthday party's and Mr. Brogan surprised us with a "hot" boot leg copy of "Aliens." We watched this poorly taped movie with pure excitement and joy and fear. I slept with my light on for a week afterwards. Mr Brogan also introduced us to Friday the 13th Parties and to Christmas Breakfast following mid night Mass. He was a man who created instant traditions. He made me and all the Dunns always feel welcomed and apart of his family. He sold me my home (before it was on the market) 3 houses down from his and quickly won over the hearts of my children as Santa Clause. We have many pictures of my wife and kids and I sitting on Mr Brogan's lap as St. Nicholas. One of my personal joys has always been walking into friends' homes during Christmas and seeing pictures of their kids sitting on the lap of Santa Clause (Mr Brogran) and me saying with genuine pride, as if he were my own Dad, "that's Mr Brogan, he is my neighbor and my best friend's Dad.". I don't know if I will ever have anyone elseo in my life (outside of my own family) who has made such an impact on me as Mr Brogan and his family. God Bless the Brogans! Love Paul Dunn
Our real estate community has lost a great colleague, mentor, friend, and Santa. Without a doubt, he was the most knowledgeable real estate professional that I have ever worked with, or for. He was the "go-to" guy not only for me, but for many others in our business. Who else can make Friday the 13th a great day? A true gentleman in every sense!! I hope the gates are open up there, because the best is coming.!! He will be missed!!! Tony Robino

Gary Cohen .. Donald took a chance on me at the ripe age of 22 and I could never thank him enough for that. He was a great teacher and manager. Donald always stood up for what was right. He will certainly be sorely missed. Rest in peace.
So very sorry to hear of Don Brogan's passing. He was Smart, Down to Earth and the most Fair and Honest person I had come to know in the Real Estate business.
When I was new to the business I called on Don’s office. Not only did he welcome me and make me feel at home, he provided me with the much needed guidance with my quest to develop my Realtor referral base; not only at his office but within the industry as well.
He was kindhearted, genuine and made The Best Santa for the local children.
Thank You Don, for helping to shape my career!
You will be missed!

So saddened to hear the news today of Don's passing. He was truly one of the finest men I have known. Such a fighter.. Battled that terrible disease with the strength of a thousand men. Never complaining and always with a smile on his face. He brought me into the Real Estate business. My first manager but he treated us like family. We worked hard at CBE but there was always time for a laugh or funny joke from Don. Don introduced me to the "Yankee trader" game at Christmas time and that was always a highlight of the holiday. I remember how Don laughed and scolded me at the same time when I learned to beat the system and always get the gift I wanted. I thank him for his vast knowledge of the Real Estate business and life in general. I thank him for all the great Santa pictures with my children when they were younger. My heartfelt prayers and condolences to Mary and family. Don will be truly missed.

My sincerest condolences go out to the Brogan family.
I worked with Donald for many years while at Coldwell Banker. Donald was an amazing person but totally geniune. He made you feel smart even when he was teaching you something. He was a man among men - completely humble and giving. I am proud to have been a small part of his "real estate family".
Best looking Santa ever!!
With sincere sympathy,
Denise Stinsman-Brandt
Don was always a true gentleman. I've known Don for over 40 years as a fellow Realtor and a friend. He will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
Thank you for the opportunity of working with the "King" of Real Estate... From the moment that you hired me, I was truly honored to be working for such a prestigious gentleman in our industry.. Working with so many top producers with Coldwell Banker Elite back and all of the different personalities that were in one company, you truly were the glue that held us all together. Our meetings were never boring, or "normal", which I liked a lot... You had a way of putting a smile on everyone's face. Whether you were telling stories or dressing up as "Santa Claus" , as one of my most treasured moments I have for my children. I can't begin to express the gratitude and honor I have in my heart, from the wonderful things you taught.. Your prestigious work ethic is one that will be carried on with all the thousands of faces you have taught. As we our hearts fill with sorrow with the lost of such a amazing man, please keep eye out for all of us who have touched.
