Dolores C. Cameron
(nee Bernardini) On December 28, 2024 of Ocean City formerly of Washington Twp. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Devoted mother of Lynne Desmond (Sal), and the late Steve Cameron (Lisa). Loving grandmother of Kristen, Maura, and Hannah. Proud great-grandmother of Cameron, Savanah, and Lochlan.
Dolores Cameron was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived a full life, born on September 17, 1933, to two Italian immigrants; Dario & Antionette Bernardini. Dolores grew up in South Philly. Her parents owned a bakery shop called Dario’s on 13th and Morris. She was one of 5 children. Dolores graduated Upper Darby HS in 1951.
Dolores and Frank were married in 1955 and eventually moved to Washington Twp in 1965. They had three children. Stephen, Craig and Linda. Craig passed away weeks after birth and Stephen passed away in 2017.
She spent summers in Ocean City, NJ for nearly 30 years. Eventually moving there full time 15 years ago, where she was able to live out the rest of her life.
Dolores cared deeply for her family and loved to travel. She took her grandchildren on many vacations, taking them to Hawaii, Disney World and Europe. Dolores and Frank traveled all the world. From England to France, all over Europe. They traveled to the Panama Canal, New Zealand, Tahiti and Australia. They also traveled to all 50 States.
One of the most cherished memories in her life was taking her grandkids to Disney World. She so enjoyed seeing them light up and enjoy the magic of Disney.
She even bought opening day tickets to Disney World in 1977. Truly a Rope Dropper.
She loved Broadway shows, like Phantom of the Opera and Cats. Always bringing her grandkids to see shows and also going to Rockefeller Center in NYC at Christmas time.
She loved to laugh. She never spared an expense to help create memories for her family. God truly blessed Dolores throughout her 91 years of life.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at The Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment Gloucester County Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
