Knew him as “Defee” in Bandstand. Huge TOP fan. Going to miss you.
I am so sorry to hear this news. I worked with Dennis at Mellon Bank many years ago. He was an incredible mentor, colleague, and friend. I have always said that he was the best boss I ever worked for. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
We did not know Dennis long, but long enough to know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Such an awesome guy. I met him 45 years ago when I became friends with Tony and Margie. I also worked with Cathy at Lit Bros./Gimbals. As he grew in business he never stopped being a regular guy that you could run into at Kmart. It is so hard to lose a great person. Much love to the family.
What else is there to say that hasn’t already been said about the legacy of an incredible soul! You controlled the room with just your presence. You were able to captivate everyone with a simple smile and you absolutely stole our boys hearts with a simple fart noise. Many knew you as Dennis. To our family you were Uncle Dennis! To say you will be missed is an understatement. So this goodbye will not be the end. It will be simply that we’ll miss you until you pick up the banana phone and call the boys again! We love you Uncle D!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
We will never forget Dennis! He has been so special ever since he entered our world.. Just a great guy in every way, happy, funny, smart, kind and super cool. He was so positive and brave in his medical battles, an inspiration to everyone. We loved seeing him win and accomplish his dreams. His good news was our good news. We all wish he was still here. May God comfort all of us as we miss him deeply . ~Jim, Terri and Shanel Fredericks
I still remembered when you would say “Hey, kiddo” to me as we crossed each other’s path while dropping off our kids at Goddard School. You were a “thought leader” at Commerce Bank and helped build the brand of America’s Most Convenient Bank. I learned so much from you. You will be missed dearly. Sorry for your great loss DiFlorio family. Our thoughts are with you all during this trying time.
We will always remember all the good times!!

Dear Cathy, our hearts are so heavy for you, Nick, and Carmela. This has been difficult for the three of us, and we cannot fathom how much more for all of you. Although we met less than a year ago, the impact of you and Dennis in our lives is indelible. What a treasure to have known Dennis. What a kind, soft spoken, caring man! May you know how much all of you are loved. We will continue to lift all of you up in prayer.

Sleeping on the floor in Grandmom and Grandpop's, (Carmela and Philip's), South Philly house , ready to go out early for the Mummer's Parade, when in walk Dennis and Cathy, coming home from a night out for NYE, or maybe a gig down the shore.
How cool was Uncle Dennis!
He was generous, compassionate and funny. I loved him deeply. He was an inspiration and I looked up to him.
And I am so thankful that my wife, Lilla, and my children, Allegra and Theo had the chance to spend time with him, know him and love him.
What an enormous loss for Cathy, Carmela and Nick, our entire family and for his friends. We lost him too soon. He had more to give and more life to live.
I will continue to drum on his drums and make music in his spirit and his memory.
What a wonderful life!
I started and stopped writing this 5 times. Even now as I write I’m struggling. Uncle isn’t a strong enough label. Uncle doesn’t begin to encompass all of the things Uncle Dennis was to me. To my brother. To my children.
Uncle Dennis drove through a snow storm at 3:30 in the morning when my Dad died. He took the reigns and made the arrangements and decisions when we couldn’t. He helped us clean out our parents’ house in the days that followed. He has been a father to me and grandfather to the boys. He was one of a kind, the most giving, generous, and thoughtful person; a man that put his family above all else and who always put a smile on your face, even in the darkest of times. I know my world will never be the same. I love you Uncle Dennis ❤️
You will be missed always! My prayers and love for Cathy, Nick, Carmela and their entire family. This is a loss that is not easy for anyone who knew and loved Dennis! Many tears are being shed and many hearts ? are breaking but the fond memories live on!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Dear Carmela and family. Our hearts ache with the news of your dad’s passing. Draw on your memories of the love shared, laughs had and all your special times together. You’ll hear stories from his friends and family that will make you laugh and maybe surprise you too. He sounds like he was an exceptional man, husband and father. I regret not having the chance to have met him. All my love and prayers for you and your family.
