Deanna (Dee) Parise (DiEleonora) passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 28, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1939 in Philadelphia to Dorothy and Armand DiEleonora. In 1960, Deanna married the older, good looking guy from the neighborhood, Rocco. Rocky preceded her in death November 4, 2021. Deanna and Rocky raised their two children in Washington Township and later moved to Sea Isle City, where together they enjoyed family, grandchildren and many friends.
Dee loved being with people. She loved chatting over coffee, at the kitchen table, with her friends and especially delighted when cooking dinners for her family – usually (the best) macaroni and meatballs! Deanna and Rocky’s greatest joy was their roles as Grandmom and PopPop. Along with Grandmom and PopPop Philippi, they spent much of their time devoted to traveling to, cheering on and celebrating their grandchildren’s various activities.
In addition to her devotion to many who were important to her, she always was a dedicated and appreciated professional at NAVSSES at the Philadelphia Naval Yard where she worked many years as a purchasing agent. She later transferred and retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in Wildwood, NJ
Deanna is survived by her children Valerie and husband Don Philippi, Rocco and wife Cindy Parise; grandchildren Jena and her husband Anthony Mazzio, Erica and her husband Kevin Kirsch, Nicolas and his wife Amanda Philippi, Jon Parise, Gina and her husband Joe Caruso; her cherished great-grandchildren – all born in 2022 – m Cameron, Zoe and Lyla – whom Deanna lovingly referred to as “ Her Babies”.
She is also survived by her brother Louis and wife MaryBeth DiEleonora and sister-in-law Anna DiEleonora and her dear friend (daughter), Regina and her husband, Jim Shuster. She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Linsalata and brother, Armand DiEleonora.
Recently as Dee’s health declined, she moved to The Landing in Washington Township, where she received wonderful assistance, by their caring and devoted team members and also made many special friendships. She loved when family and friends came to visit; especially her weekly day-long visits from her devoted NAVSSES friends (Reg, Phyl & John)
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Sunday, November 19th 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:30 AM.
