David E. McMenamin, on August 13, 2013, of Sewell. Age 30. Devoted father of Gavin and Madison Erdenski. Beloved son of James J. and Mary L. (nee Weise) McMenamin. Dear brother of Jonathan. Loving grandson of James and Zoe McMenamin and Mary and George Weise. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday 2:00 – 3:30 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 3:30 pm. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in David’s memory to the David E. McMenamin Children’s Educational Fund, c/o TD Bank, 284 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com

Dear Dave' s Parents and Family, So very sorry to hear of Dave's passsing away. We were the parents living in So. FL while Dave was recovering and we had all the boy's come to our home on various weekends. We also are from NJ (many years ago) so we formed a mutual bond. Dave , I didn't find out it was your time to leave untill the Fall of 2013. My deepest condolences to your family. You were my best friend during high school while I still lived in Washingtion Township. Hanging out with you and the whole crew in Twp during high school was the happiest times in my life and it was too bad I had to move during my sophmore year. I chilled with you on New Year's Eve 1999 as we entered the 21st century. Oh how I miss those wonderful days in our youth. My father was hospitalized in September and he passed away on December 3, 2013. I m having such a hard time with grief. I prayed for your family and you will always be in my thoughts. Say what's up to my Dad. I'll see you when I get there!

Our hearts are broken, you were like a son to us. You were a wonderful father to Maddy and Gavin and we will miss you forever. You and your family have been so good to our family and together we all turned something that would have destroyed most families into a relationship that brought both of our families together and we all truly love one another. You were such a big part of that, because you treated Gavin and Maddies brothers like they were also a part of you and so does your family. It was so funny when you would come to pick the kids up and they would all run to the door and yell da da. You would just pick them up and hug them, and even take Ian with you some times. I have not doubt in my mind that when Keith and Jacob were older you would have taken them also. They all love you so much. You were a very special person who always tried to help anyone who needed it. I don't know how we will all go on without you. I will always keep you in the kids thoughts and prayers. We will make sure and I know that your family will make sure that you will not be forgotten. For the short time you were here, the impact that you made was so much more than most people could make in their whole lives. We will love and miss you forever. I pray for the Lord to comfort and give peace to your wonderful family because it is truly going to be hard to over come the loss of you David. Dearest Jay and family, I found out Sunday the 18th about David, and needless to say, I was so sad. I know what your family is feeling as I have been thru this with my daughter Joyce's passing 5 yrs ago. tomorrow. We will always be sad and have a hole in our hearts but we manage to go on, especially for the children. Joyce left two children, as did David. I am thinking about you and the family. My heart ached when I heard the bad news about my friend, David. I mourn his loss and extend my deep sympathy to his family Guess it's true: the best things in life are not things. Take, for example, his spirit. When we met in south Florida nearly nine years ago, his wild sense of humor and genuine concern for my well-being always gave me a ladder out of a pit of despair. My best friend, my brother, and the best person I've ever know. We've been through so much bro, and u left to soon. Ill never forget the times we had. I truly believe I'm still clean to today because of you. I never forget that you got me down to Florida to start this new life. I remember being in prison, and you were the only one who would take my calls. That meant more to me then you will ever know. You were the type of guy who would give u the shirt off his back. I have had a hole in my heart since yesterday. Today I woke up and prayed it was all a dream. I will never forget forcing you to watch my Sunday night shows... especially Mob Wives, which you secretly loved, you did Big Ange's voice to a T! We laughed a lot!!! When I had family stuff going on , you always listened so patiently and offered great advice. I don't understand why this happened to one of the best people I have ever known. I love you Dave , I will never ever forget what you mean to me and what you will continue to mean to me for the rest of my life. I will see you again. So with a heavy, broken heart I will say, see you when I get there buddy. You are in a better place than all of us.
