Darren S. Aversa

On November 15, 2024, of Washington Twp.  Age 55.  Beloved husband of Barbara Curtin.  Devoted father of Nicholas Aversa.  Dear step-father of Kirra Curtin.  Dear brother of Mark Aversa and Cheryl Ann Gardiner.

Darren was a loving, husband and father who enjoyed spending time at home with his family above all.  He loved his video games, spending time on anything sports related and along the way he could always make everyone laugh with his quirky habits and strong opinions about how ‘everything should be done’.  His friendships lasted until his last day because he was loyal forever once you were his friend and he never took those relationships for granted.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 9:00-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.  Funeral service 11:00 AM.  Entombment, All Saints Cemetery, Newfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nicholas Aversa for his future education c/o Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, NJ 08012.

Darren Aversa was my brother. I was 58, going on 59, on November 23rd, 2024, Darren was 4 years younger than me. He was my baby brother and a very smart father, husband, son, and brother. My heart is forever broken. We grew up together. As children in High School, I would forge his absentee notes because my cursive was so close to my mothers. He was a had worker, strived in school and helped take care of our sick mither while going to college. I will always luv my baby brother. We played board games, especially "Clue:".

Darren S. Aversa DIB: 6/3/1968. He was my baby brother. He passed on November 15, 2024, in his sleep. Darren b ed came I'll with a heart condition. They did a 4 1/2 hour heart surgery on him. He came out of surgery and was doing well. It was going to be a 2 week follow up appointment. Darren never made it to this appointment.. On the evening of November 15th during his sleep he did not wake up that morning. He was 55 years old. His wife, Barb, daughter, Kiki, and 16 year old son , were left behind.
