Darlene Yvonne Eskridge, 59, was born on January 27th, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland. She transitioned into her next life on Wednesday, July, 8th, 2020 peacefully in her sleep at her home in Turnersville, New Jersey.
Darlene grew up in West Baltimore. She is the fifth born of seven children. She enjoyed getting dressed up and adorning herself with jewelry and accessories. Darlene loved to go roller-skating in her youth with her siblings and close friends. She had a passion for music, preparing food, hosting guests at gatherings and serving others. In her spare time, she loved listening to her favorite songs and reminiscing on good memories shared with loved ones. Darlene was often the life of the party and was beloved by many for her charming smile and sharp sense of humor. She was unwavering in her devotion to care for others, often putting their needs before her own. Darlene was a loving wife, beloved mother, cherished daughter, adored sister, affectionate aunt and loyal friend to many.
In 1979, she completed her education at Carver Vocational Technical High School, graduating with her diploma and a certification in food service. Following her schooling, she worked for the Baltimore VA Medical Center as a food service technician. Darlene went on to work as a coder for Fairfax Bank in downtown Baltimore, which initiated a lengthy and esteemed career in banking and personal finance.
She met and married, Keith Eskridge Sr., the love of her life and relocated to New Jersey where they raised their son Keith Eskridge Jr. They were blissfully married for 28 years.
Darlene is survived by her beloved husband Keith Eskridge Sr. Devoted mother of Keith Eskridge Jr., and late K. Robert Eskridge and Darchelle Arlene Eskridge. Dear sister of Venoid Robertson, Darryl Robertson, Emanuel Robertson, Kenneth Robertson, Carolyn Brown and the late James Robertson. Daughter of the late Mildred and Willie Robertson and loving daughter-in-law of Mrs. Amanda Eskridge. She is also survived by a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
