Dana ”Dan” S. Bobo, of Washington Twp. passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 78. He was a beloved husband of Janet (nee Schumacher).
Dan was a devoted father to Derek LeBeau and his wife Kristin and Steven Bobo and his partner Jim. He was a loving grandfather of Derek, Jr., Dane, Morgan and Emma. Dan was the Loving son of the late Louis and Mary Bobo and dear brother of the late Robert and Louis Bobo.
Dan was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. Dan’s abiding faith made him a devoted member of his church Calvary Chapel. He had a special place in his heart for the late Pastor Brasco and now Pastor Clark. In fact, during his last few weeks of his life, he was hoping to have dinner with Pastor Clark and his wife sometime soon.
Dan was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 19 for over 40 years. There he forged many relationships with what became some of his closest friends. He also demonstrated his leadership skills as he spent many years on the Executive Board.
Dan was a huge Philadelphia Sports Fan, particularly Baseball. He came by this naturally as his family participated in the Hot Stovers Baseball Club, which lead to his father Louis’ induction to the SJ Baseball Hall of Fame. Throughout Dan’s life he was fortunate enough to meet many Philadelphia Sports Legends. He was also proud to display his personalized memorabilia which would inevitably spark some fun, animated stories that only Dan could tell. Perhaps his greatest joy in sports was watching his children and then grandchildren compete.
Above all, Dan cherished his family. He loved being with his wife, Janet, and being surrounded by the kids during the holidays and creating memories that will be treasured forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Dan’s life. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, located at 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Township. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with interment taking place at Bethel Cemetery in Pennsauken.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Dan’s memory be made to Calvary Chapel 5360 Route 42 NJ, Turnersville, NJ 08012
Dan will be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
