Consilia “Cookie” Kaizar (nee Leone), on December 18, 2017, of Washington Twp. Age 77. Beloved wife of George. Devoted mother of George, Jr., Michael (Patrice), Christine Fitzpatrick (Robert) and Denise Fasano (Christopher). Loving grandmother of Jennifer, Julie, Tim, Laura, Brittany, Miranda, Christopher, Jr., Evan and Emilee. Proud great-grandmother of 9. Dear sister of Anthony Leone (Margaret).
“Cookie” Kaizar lived her life with spunk and tenacity. She married the love of her life, George, at the age of 21 and then made it her career to be a wonderful mother to her four children. She managed the household like a well run machine but always new when it was time to stop and have some fun. It was her most successful accomplishment to be the mother that was always there for her kids.
She loved to learn, especially about history which evolved into a mission to restore and become the curator at The Old stone House Village for many years. She also had an amazing artistic talent for painting. Eventually her talents and sharp business sense brought her to open “Flora Bunda”, her self owned floral design business which showcased her excellent taste and meticulous attention to detail. She equally enjoyed growing her own herb garden, which she proudly used in her designs, and loved learning how herbs were used in the colonial times.
Cookie loved to travel and was able visit places like California, Mississippi, Florida, Maine, Las Vegas, Arizona, and even England. She was always up for a new adventure, even if it was to a new shopping venue or to Philadelphia to learn something more about history. Cookie loved the beach and spent many summer vacations with her family in Wildwood, playing Fascination, crabbing, and “romping” the boards. Her favorite sea shore activity was fishing. She would gladly boast about her superior fishing skills while often reminding George that he was a mediocre fisherman, at best.
Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Cookie knew immediately how much energy she emulated. When she left he room, you surely knew she had been there. She was a ball of fire and taught her family that giving up was not an option. She raised her children to be successful and savvy in this world. She also taught them how to love unconditionally and to live with loyalty, honesty, and integrity in their hearts.
She will be missed by so many, but most certainly forgotten by no one.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Saturday 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington, Twp., NJ. Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment private.
